Below you will find information on our policies for students enrolled in lessons at CBA!

Please let us know if you have any questions about them!

Payment Policy

Students enroll in lessons on a per-semester basis.  By enrolling in lessons you are committing to the full semester.  If you aren't ready to commit to a full semester, we recommend starting with a 3 week lesson trial. Tuition payments are due by the 15th of each calendar month.  An automatic late fee of $20 will be applied to invoices unpaid by the 15th.  If an invoice remains unpaid for 3 weeks your lessons will be terminated for the remainder of the semester and you will be responsible for the cost of the rest of the semester. Tuition is the same each month in a semester, and is not based on the number of lessons in each calendar month.  Tuition is calculated by the total number of lessons in the entire semester, and split into equal payments for each month.  Tuition includes lessons, travel time/expenses, and all music needed for lessons.  Tuition does not include instruments, instrument care supplies, or solo music needed for competitions or auditions.  Students that begin lessons after the start of the semester will have their invoices pro-rated based on the remaining number of lessons in the semester.  If you chose to terminate lessons after the first three weeks of a semester, you will be responsible for the cost in full for the remainder of the semester.

Cancellation Policy

Students are permitted two cancellations per semester for any reason.  For each cancellation you will receive a make-up lesson credit.  You may use these credits to schedule a make-up lesson in our online calendar during any open time slots, or on a teacher's designated make-up day.  Any cancellations beyond this for any reason will not be made up and will not be refunded.  In the unlikely event that the instructor must cancel a lesson you will be given the option of either an additional make-up credit or a refund for that lesson on your next months invoice.  If schools are closed due to inclement weather, or the lesson area is experiencing a winter storm emergency (level two or above),  you will receive the option of an additional make-up credit or a refund.

Equipment Policy

Students are expected to provide their own instrument, tuner, metronome, music stand, and instrument care supplies.  The teacher will set home practice guidelines, as well as practice time standards and routines for each individual student.
